Scott roared to notice in the racing world with a Championship win during his first year of racing in the Street Stock Division in 1992. Moving up to Challenger, he won two Challenger Championships during his first year, then moved to the Late Model Division, finishing runner up at Sauble Speedway in his first year.

Throughout the mid 90s, Scott raced throughout Western and southern Ontario, taking home a Goodyear Challenge Cup before moving to the Cascar Sportsman Series in 1997 and then the Cascar Super Series in 1999. In 2006 Scott finished sixth overall in the National Points.

Scott is one of only three drivers to make all 109 starts in the NASCAR PINTYS Series and he is the only four time NASCAR Canada Champion. He is the 33rd person in the history of NASCAR worldwide to win four or more touring or national series titles.

He is among the leaders in all categories NASCAR track including first in laps led with 4,829. He has 19 wins, 17 pole positions, 66 top five finishes and 81 top tens.
